Nokia has launched a low budget mobile phone, 2690 in India. Not only the low price but it is also a feature rich phone. The hanse is priced at just Rs 3700. The handset is available in Graphite, hot pink, Blue and white silver.
Nokia 2690 has 1.8 inch TFT display, with 262K colour support, and resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. The phone is accessible to Social networking and email. The handset supports GPRS / EDGE also supports Bluetooth version 2.0 and USB.
The BL-4C 860 mAh Li-Ion battery is capable of maximum talk time of 270 mins and standby time of 335 hours. 8 GB Expandable microSD memory is one of the best features in the handset.

Air India plane crashes in Mangalore (167 dead in Mangalore air crash)
158 people were killed when an Air India Express flying from Dubai overshot the runway after landing at the Mangalore airport near Mangalore. It then caught fire, hampering immediate rescue attempts from people in the neighboring village of Manapur.
The airport at Bajpe, about 30 km from Mangalore, is in a hilly area and considered one of the most difficult airports to take off and land. The area had been experiencing heavy rains for the last two days.
The tragedy took place around 6.30 am. The pilot gave no distress signal before the plane went down.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh condoled the loss of lives in the air crash at the Mangalore airport on Saturday and ordered Rs 200,000 for the families of the dead and Rs 50,000 for the injured.
In the incident 8 persons have been rescued and 70 persons have been recovered.
